PhD student
My field of research is the conservation and restoration of sustainable and biodiverse landscapes. In my thesis identify changes and shortcomings in the provision of ecosystem services in Estonian landscapes and study how the provision of ecosystem services has changed over the last 50 years. I map possible future scenarios in the changing climate and land use conditions and develop suitable nature-based solutions that would help to integrate the human land-use and biodiversity. I am looking for ways to involve key stakeholders in landscape planning and to complement existing spatially accurate applications and help create personalized land use recommendations system. My supervisor is Dr. Aveliina Helm.
