On 12th of November the annual EcolChange Centre of Excellence Doctoral Conference was held in Voore. Elisabeth, Sabrina and Iris were representing our workgroup. EcolChange Centre of Excellence is created in cooperation of two universities, Estonian University of Life Sciences and University of Tartu to study the ecology of global change in natural and managed ecosystems. Our workgroup is participating there as part of macroecology workgroup. All the workgroups introduced their work from the past year in the conference and in the afternoon three workshops were held. The topics were communicating science and EcolChange to the public and other scientists, big data problems and biogeochemistry cycling in ecosystems. The conference and workshops were successful and a lot of new ideas and thoughts resulted from it that will hopefully soon be implemented.
