Junior Research Fellow in Restoration Ecology
In my research I will focus on the current state of Estonian semi-natural grasslands. I believe our semi-natural grasslands to be some of the most special habitats, as they unite biodiversity and human activity. In my doctoral thesis „Current challenges of Estonian semi-natural grassland support schemes and the potential of result-based and hybrid schemes as an alternative" I will examine how various support schemes affect biodiversity and when result-based approaches would be appropriate. In addition I will study farmers’ opinions regarding support schemes and biodiversity. My supervisors are Krista Takkis, Triin Reitalu and Liis Kasari-Toussaint.
