Our master student Marianne Kaldra was awarded with the first prize in Estonian national research contest for students in the category of bio- and environmental sciences for her master thesis "Heterostyly in fragmented Primula veris populations". Using populations of cowslip in alvar grasslands of Western Estonia as an example, Marianne demonstrates the consequences of grassland fragmentation on morph balance and related genetic diversity of the heterostylys cowslip.
