Media coverage in December

December was quite a busy month for our workgroup. It started with the 100th anniversary of our national university where Aveliina gave an academic lecture titled “Environment for life – the task of the century” that was also published in Postimees (in Estonian). In the middle of the month the Estonian Society for Nature Conservation awarded Aveliina Helm and Mart Meriste with the title ‘Friend of the Nature 2019’ for promoting the concept of ‘Everyone’s Nature Conservation‘. After that, Aveliina talked in the radio (in Estonian) what the European Green deal means for Estonia. Finally, at the end of the year, Aveliina commented about the climate change related choices Estonia and European Union are making in an article (in Estonian) about the year of climate. We hope to keep being this active this year also.
