Estonian Society for Nature Conservation awarded Aveliina Helm and Mart Meriste with the title 'Friend of the Nature 2019' for promoting the concept of 'Everyone's Nature Conservation' throughout the year. Everyone's Nature Conservation focuses on everyone's role in protecting nature and fighting biodiversity loss through everyday activities and targeted actions. This year's national month of nature conservation, organized by Ministry of Environment also concentrated on the same concept.
The title 'Friend of the Nature' is awarded every year starting from 2013.
