PhD, researcher

My research focuses on the effect of landscape history, structure and environmental conditions on plant communities, their species richness, composition and condition of populations in fragmented landscapes. Also the recovery of populations, species richness and species interactions after restoration. I mainly study these topics in Estonian alvar grasslands, but also in agricultural landscapes. Furthermore, I am interested in the effect of landscape changes and environmental conditions on plant traits and which plants are more (or less) vulnerable to those changes.
