Michele Donnini
Junior Research Fellow in Urban Mobility
I am a junior researcher in the doctoral network SUNSET. My research interests lie at the intersection of sustainable urban mobility, knowledge transfer, and collaborative governance. I explore how universities and municipalities collaborate in shaping active mobility policies, with a focus on walking and cycling. I am particularly interested in the microspaces where knowledge circulates—such as workshops, urban living labs, and participatory forums—and in how institutional arrangements, stakeholder dynamics, and local contexts enable or hinder co-production. More broadly, I study how evidence and expertise can be mobilised across sectors to foster inclusive, sustainable, and resilient urban transformations.
My supervisors are Aveliina Helm and Age Poom.
