Minu peamiseks teadushuviks on elupaikade ja maastike seosed neid asustava elurikkusega. Käimasolevates projektides uurime maakasutusmuutuste mõju taim-tolmeldaja interaktsioonide säilenõtkusele põllumajandusmaastikes ja pärandniitude võrgustike rolli selle tagajana.

Varasemalt olen uurinud kimalaste ja päevaliblikate liigilist koosseisu majandatavates metsamaastikes, aga ka looduslike häiringute rolli metsade elurikkuse kujundajana. Huvitun ka koosluste uurimiseks sobilikest statistilistest meetoditest, sealhulgas ruumiandmete analüüsist.
