In collaboration with COST Action network G-Bike, Tsipe published a paper 'The application gap: Genomics for biodiversity and ecosystem service management' in Biological Conservation. The paper gives an overview of the role of genomic knowledge in effective management of ecosystem services, including maintaining the adaptive potential of species, sustaining ecosystem productivity, restoration and handling of invasives. The authors emphasize that genomics-informed understanding is fundamental for successfully implementing these activities, and call for science-policy synergies to bridge the current gap.
