The international project “Interactive effects of local and landscape scale restoration of semi-natural grasslands and agricultural fields on species interactions and ecosystem functions” (InterRest) is the third and last year of the project. In June, the project team gathered for a workshop in Laelatu to discuss different analysis methods and publication ideas.
“Participants came from Spain, Germany, Belgium, and Sweden, landscape biodiversity workgroup was represented by Triin Reitalu, Elisabeth Prangel, Aveliina Helm, Jelle Devalez, and Laura Naagel,” speaks Triin Reitalu, a research fellow for restoration ecology. “During the three days, each team shared news about the project's progress, together we visited the Laelatu wooded meadow, and project Estonian study sites in Muhu and Saaremaa. In Muhu, ecologist and sheep keeper Kadri Tali showed us around her managed alvar grasslands.”
