My main research interest is the recovery of western Estonian alvar grasslands biodiversity. In my Master's thesis, I studied the functional traits of plant species that are successful after grassland restoration, and whether the landscape structure and the initial condition of the area affect the success of species with different characteristics. In addition, I conducted a survey among locals and restorers to find out what they think about the restoration of alvar grasslands. My supervisor was Senior Researcher Aveliina Helm.
